The drunk dude who peed in my yard last night

I'm a light sleeper. Shortly after 1 am, I awoke to the sound of shuffling feet out in the yard, and saw a person's silhouette cross in front of the window by my bed. People don't venture that far back in the yard at that time of night, so this quickly aroused suspicion as I lay in bed, trying to decide what to do.

Then I heard the unmistakable sound of urine splattering on the ground. All I can say is, that dude, whoever he was, was very lucky that he elected to pee on the ground instead of on my herb garden, which was dangerously close nearby. I'm guessing he had attended the football game and had a bit too much to drink. Still. What a jerk.

Seriously. If women can figure out how not to pee in other people's gardens, men should be able to, too.

We used to live on Spence, about 500 yards southeast of the corner of Rural and Apache. Between the football games, night clubs, and bars, we would regularly wake on Sunday mornings to a street decorated with broken bottles, litter, and pools of urine/vomit.

Needless to say, I'm glad we've put some distance between ourselves and the university scene.

What would you have done to him if he had peed on your herbs?

Hey, you never know, it might have been good fertilizer, maybe they would have had more flavor.

Those herbs are MY territory, so I would have had to defend it, regardless of the effects on the basil or chives. I don't think the extra nitrogen would have helped.

Despite your gentlemen caller picking a rather poor peeing place, the picture you described was absolutely hilarious. I would have paid lots of dinero to have seen the beat-down you would have given this guy had he pointed his stream towards your garden. Don't mess with the herbs!
