Right now, right this very minute, I miss the smell of cedar. Not that dead crap used to keep moths away, no.
The sweet smell of living cedar, tall tree trunks arcing overhead with sleepy, drooping branches, dry brown needles underfoot, smelling a bit like dust, warmed by patches of sun.
