cusakam:
1. Total number of books owned?
Hmm. Well, it depends on whether or not you count library books, because I am quite fond of checking books out from the library. Let's peg the figure at several million, say. If you're talking about books that are mine, mine, mine, well, the figure's probably somewhere in the 30-40 book range. I'm still in the building process.
2. The last book I bought?
I bought three, actually. The Jane Austen Book Club, Catflexing, and an insect field guide.
3. The last book I read?
A Walk in the Woods, by Bill Bryson. I posted about it recently.
4. Five books that mean a lot to me?
I refer you to the first list of books on this page. I'm particularly fond of Virginia Woolf's narrative style, and also read a lot of philosophy/science books, with the occasional work of literary fiction thrown in for good measure. That list of books are books that I enjoyed greatly or that have helped me in my own little search for meaning and purpose.
5. Tag five people and have them fill this out on their ljs:
annikusrex,
bluepapercup,
boolean263,
sytharin if your wrists are up for it, and
purpurin. Also
single_e_rin if you're still around.
