Not much to report today. I woke up at 4:30 to go to crew practice, but didn't go because I was exhausted and sore. Sleep was pleasant. Tomorrow morning I'm taking a bunch of people out on an anting expedition (aside: did you know that "anting" is an actual word? It is: bird behavior in which ants are rubbed on the feathers to obtain chemicals (as formic acid) from the ants. And no, we won't be rubbing ants on ourselves). We shall check on some leafcutter ant colonies, and then go off in search of another species that is mating this time of year. It will be fun to traipse around the desert in the wee hours of the morn.
Oh, our lab just got a new lab truck. It's a Ford F250. I agree with my grandfather inasmuch as I don't like Fords. We didn't have much choice in the matter. But hey--it's shiny and new and has a functional radio and CD player. And it holds up to six people. It's a monster. And it's parked in my driveway because the paperwork to get it a parking decal was just too much. Trust me.
Heh. Stupid cars.
Tonight I shall laze around the house and perhaps type some letters on my typewriter and pat the kitties.
