The whole end-of-the-semester unwinding business is tricky. First, there are the phantom pangs of guilt about the fact that I'm not doing the work that I don't have. Then, small stretches of boredom, interspersed with momentary motivation to work on projects that have been gathering dust for months. All of this is coupled with the torpor of the real beginning of the heat (it's barely 100 degrees yet!), and some brief existential crises (they haven't forced me back to philosophy yet; just poetry). I have to re-build my personality after the semester squeezes it out.
