Well. I opened up my laptop, Roger2 (don't ask where that name came from), and looked at the RAM for a bit. Well, looking didn't do a whole lot, except that when I tried to turn it on, it made some scary beeping noises that signify (according to Dell's website) "No usable memory." How fun.

The IT guys here in my department told me to bite the bullet and buy a new laptop. If only they had my salary. I've been eyeing the Apple Powerbooks for a couple of months now, so I might just do it anyway if I can figure out how to do so without paying interest through the nose. Hmm.

In other news, Deadline #1 has come and gone. Whoosh! (one of my favorite quotations: "I love deadlines. I enjoy the whooshing sounds they make as they go by.")

Deadline #2 is tomorrow, officially. I think I'll make it for that one. Then only Deadline #3 remains, next Monday. Whee.

Time to go do normal people stuff, like eat and buy groceries and sleep.

I love that quote too. And a Powerbook would rock quite soundly, but depending on your needs, you might be able to settle for an iBook. That would involve a bit less cash, I believe.

wanted to wish you luck in all your deadlines and hope they whoosh by without hitting you in the head. i hate when they hit you in the head. will you be headed back to seattle this summer at all? i miss raucous games of scrabble with you, m'dear. --c

Thank you, m'dear! I'll be back to Seattle at least once this summer--maybe another time if I can swing it. I miss those fun times, too!
