It is much to my chagrin that I must report that I failed to bus my dishes after enjoying coffee at a coffeeshop this morning. On the other hand, now that I'm accustomed to getting fancy designs in the foam on my lattes, I'm a bit irked that all the designs are made with right-handed customers in mind. Next time I'll have to see what happens if I ask for a left-handed design. Yes, folks, espresso has gone to a new level, and by that I am not referring to the fictional language-manglings invented by Starbucks. Rather, lattes served in traditional, wide latte cups, with leafy designs or hearts or such things in the foam. Anywhere else, I'd just be happy to GET foam on a latte!
I started reading another book by Thoreaux (that's not Thoreau, folks), which has reminded me how much I like him.

Date: 2005-01-05 04:56 pm (UTC)When I started studying native American cultures, one thing that struck me was that many native American nations do NOT run things by democratic majority. Instead, things are run by consent. Obviously, this leads to a VERY different political process.
Left-handed people are NOT going to go away, and I reserve my left to complain about right-hand biases.
