Fear me and my cooking skills
Oct. 7th, 2007 09:25 pmI need a Domestic Goddess plaque. Only trouble is, they can only be handmade, preferably embroidered, or else they aren't real.
Anyway, in brief, here's what I cook'd today. I washed 2.5 loads of dishes in the process.
-buckwheat pancakes with blueberry sauce
-pesto
-quesadilla with tomatillo slices (lunch)
-crumpets x2 (I make a crapload and then feast on them for weeks)
-chocolate cupcakes (I licked my fingers a lot while making and frosting them, so I'm not sharing)
-spicy butternut squash in mustard sauce (quite tasty)
-(so-called) Glorious Greens with the mustard greens (too bitter; won't be making that again)
-brown basmati rice
I have thus used up a sizeable portion of my weekly vegetable allotment, but still need to use up other leafy greens and some chiles (note corrected spelling) later in the week.
I am completely serious when I say I am a bit worried that I am eating too many vegetables. They are quite filling, and then I don't eat much else in the way of protein or carbohydrates. Hopefully the chiles rellenos will make up for that, if they don't burn my mouth off (I don't know how hot the chiles are).
And now, to bed.

Date: 2007-10-09 02:58 pm (UTC)Heh, I go overboard sometimes. I'll bet you're equally capable of cooking madness. One of these days when I'm less frazzled I'm going to invite a few people over for an Indian food extravaganza. Now that will be some tasty eating!
