Day 39: Naturopathy
Sep. 8th, 2007 09:16 pmToday at a rowing event, a naturopathic doctor and rower whose perspective I respect recommended taking additional vitamin C to help my immune system fight off the virus. This will sound familiar to my mother. After she made a similar recommendation, I basically said it wasn't clear to me if vitamin C would make much of a difference and so I made no effort to acquire supplemental vitamin C. But guess what? Today I marched off and bought some giant horse-pills and am going to give it a shot. It's a good thing I never make any claims to rationality.
On Monday, I plan to try rowing. It seems feasible if I get enough sleep the night before. Lack of sleep and super-busy days seem to be what still manage to drag me down towards the mono-cave.

Date: 2007-09-09 03:25 pm (UTC)Actually, since the horse pills I found look like they give me "only" 1600% the RDA for vitamin C, I bet there are some people out there who take even larger amounts. And I also selected a supplement that was just C, nothing else.
