An enterprising spider has built a web across the business part of my printer. Is it trying to tell me something?
I did a wee bit of writing today--work on a research grant proposal. Oh, and I counted ant eggs, larvae, pupae, and workers in about 80 ant farms. I cannot leave that out.
It's the joy of being a biologist.
But then I think--how many other people who run around with their eyes glued to the ground are actually looking for something, rather than just avoiding eye contact?
Last night I had two glasses of wine, and they made me a bit more talkative and harsh than I should have been.
And--it's funny/reassuring/sad to see the same edgy restlessness that I have experienced in the voices and thoughts of others. I can admire and appreciate it right now only because my life has little of such turmoil by comparison--my path to somewhere is clear for at least a brief while. Or so I think.
