Inventory [projects]
May. 31st, 2021 04:45 pmToday I:
-Sewed 3 buttons back on a dress shirt that has been out of commission for over a month
-Replaced my smart-o-phone's battery with a replacement battery obtained several months ago
-Had a long lunch with friends/colleagues to talk about assessment in our courses
-Cut some lexan so I could add pumps/filters to the betta tanks, and moved Bubba back over with the other bettas for while I am gone

I still need to:
-Clean cricket bins
-Review data analysis and results prepared by a collaborator
This is also a time for inventorying projects. Which things and projects will I try to bring along with me? Which projects are going to get left behind for now?
I put the sweater knitting away for now. I didn't do much knitting when I lived in Arizona. It was too hot to knit.
But I might work on a small crochet project; I want to make a carrier that will hold my portable speaker along with whatever device it's connected to (mp3 player, smart-o-phone) so I can move them as a unit.
I'm debating whether or not to bring along the quilted cat bed project. That one has languished for quite a while now. An alternative would be to track down the appropriate kind of walking foot for my sewing machine and to then just finish the quilting by machine instead of by hand.
I really want to be working on sewing shirts, but that project doesn't strike me as being particularly portable. For the moment, I moved my pattern-transferring supplies out to the front porch again, where there's space to spread out and at least finish transferring the pattern onto newsprint.
I don't think I'll bring along papercut supplies. Drawing is fairly portable, though.
I miss ceramics.
