Last night at dinner someone asked a question about being hated back in high school for being both beautiful AND smart. I think I said something sarcastic and witty in reply, but on further thought I realized that it never came up for me in high school. I went to an all-girls school. I was reminded that women act very different when they are only around other women.

Not sure I would argue that single sex is the way to go for all people, but I think it worked for me--HS was actually worthwhile--I learned things and developed confidence.
It sure did make freshman year of college interesting. All guys to female dominated biology!
