So far this morning I have managed to avoid spilling an entire latte on myself. Somehow, this feels like a major accomplishment. This morning's latte was in a travel mug with a lid, so I'm guessing that helped matters.

I'm still keeping a low profile thanks to the plague that I contracted from my housemates. I watched some men's figure skating last night and worked on knitting leg warmer #2. It's approximately 1/3 complete already because I have reached the stage where I just want to be FINISHED so I can wear the damn things before it gets too hot. I don't like to stereotype, but men's figure skating is GAY. There's really no other way to describe it. At the same time, figure skaters are damn impressive athletes. I don't think I could ever balance on a razor-thin blade while spinning and leaping in circles.

The women's speed skating was remarkable as well--it appears to be another one of those sports requiring massive quadriceps (and massive quantities of spandex--yikes). The speed skaters appear to have similar leg builds to rowers, which was interesting and made me think about how annoyingly difficult it is to find good pants that fit athletes well. Heck, it's hard to find good pants that fit ANYBODY well.

And that is all for now.
