And some other critter beat me to it.

First ripe strawberry of the year!

I still ate the rest of it.

The windy weather continued. Yesterday morning, the wind was out of the north, which is somewhat unusual for us. It started to create whitecaps, so by the time I got north of the I-90 bridge in WBY it seemed pointless to continue rowing north. There was a small patch of water along the western edge of the river that was calmer, so we managed to get in a small number of pieces in the end.

Then our usual breakfast spot was closed for the weekend. The net result of that was that I wound up enjoying breakfast with just 1 other teammate, which was great, actually.

After cleaning out the cricket cages, I played hooky from work (gasp!) and headed back over to the river for a paddle with A. It was even more windy and starting to rain, but in the kayaks we mostly just laughed at the chop.

It was still raining this morning, but less windy. We went out in a 4x and got in some practice pieces, finally. It has taken a while to reach a point where we're doing training pieces again.

Now I am home, warmed up again, with a cat curled up in my lap, trying to think about the things I need to get done and how to prioritize among them.
