Photos from Saturday morning [rowing]
Sep. 29th, 2020 10:53 amThe southern turnaround point for the morning's half marathon:

So peaceful in the fog!
Evidence that I rowed there:

Did I mention it was foggy? This was the view to the north. The turnaround point is just slightly to the south of two green channel buoys. The buoys are in this picture, and it's *almost* possible to see one of them.

My busy cockpit:

S loaned me one of his Small Action Cameras, plus a small array of mounting brackets to test out. That's what's on the upper left. I borrowed the name-brand SAC because it had the longest available battery life and S had come up with some reasonable workarounds for its flaws. It was pointing slightly too closely at the deck, and I had to go through and upgrade my Oogle-service rowing video channel so as to be able to upload longer videos. So I don't have any footage to share with you just yet. Also, it made the morning's big wake look trivial.
I've got lanyards for the SpeedCoach (computer), boathouse keys, and the smart-o-phone case looped over the metal bar, too, and my sandals and water bottle are tucked in there as well. Starting to look like a rowing Fred, I am.
I will probably pack along 1-2 bottles of sugary sports liquid for the full marathon, too.
