I had hoped enough time had passed to suggest the leafcutter manuscript had made it out for review. Desk-reject again. I think this is the fourth rejection from this particular journal. So, back to the drawing board. The thing that most greatly annoys me is seeing other, more sloppy work published there. Phooey.
The norovirus, if that's what this is, got worse yesterday and last night, not better. At least there hasn't been any vomiting (yet). I now have a receptacle handy, just in case.

Date: 2017-05-18 07:06 pm (UTC)I was kind of pessimistic about submitting to this journal anyway, but my advisor wanted to try, so I shrugged my shoulders, rolled up my sleeves, and did. A benefit of having done so is I still think it's well-written, so after some reformatting we should be able to resubmit it elsewhere relatively quickly. If we'd received reviews, we would need to make revisions according to the reviews before resubmitting it, even if we resubmitted it to a different journal.
