Today, I finished off a canister of mediocre herbal tea at work - some sort of purported mint chocolate rooibos concoction. Meh. I don't know if it was just stale or if it was just a bad combination of ingredients, but it was uninspiring. It also could have been the tea bags. Not all places manage to do tea bags correctly. I usually feel the same way about tea bags as I feel about drinking a latte out of a paper cup. Get a proper infuser already.
I'd decided to make myself finish that tea off, though, before moving on to the next thing, just to have it over and done with. Not too long ago, I picked up more of that lovely loose-leaf minty blend from the local cheese shop, but their selection of bulk herbal teas is limited, so it was time to put in an order for some Stash teas. I got myself some rooibos chai and chocolate peppermint, plus a specialty blend they created, the Portland blend. Their chocolate peppermint tea is *almost* as good as the chocolate peppermint tea from Denmark that I will probably never get to have again. I also ordered some of their Double Bergamot Earl Grey and Double Spice Chai for
sytharin, who was excited to learn that it's possible to get bulk tea from Stash if you order online or via catalogue.
Meanwhile, I'm mentally kicking myself for not picking up even more of that manuka tea that
gfrancie pointed out when I was out for a visit in Cornwall. It has a light floral/citrusy scent that is lovely and refreshing.

The Stash Tea obsession actually dates back to coffee hour after church as a kid, when AKW and I enjoyed drinking lots of wintermint tea and reciting the quotations on the backs of the tea packets.
