Today is one of those days where I miss playing the piano.

Grew up playing classical music. Played up until freshman year of college, when I ran out of time and money (though our university had an amazing affiliation with the New England Music Conservatory - meant tons of incredibly good performances on campus!).

I was just having a pretty big attack of missing playing the piano.

(I was really serious about it once. Barely do any kind of music now.)

Pianos just aren't sufficiently portable, and on top of that I was never very good at getting myself to practice on a consistent basis.

It falls into one of those "youth is wasted on the young" categories. Kids have so much leisure time, and now I use the leisure time I've got to go on long bike rides.

And hmm, now that I think about it, it is getting close to time to get my parents to finish out the refurb-job on the piano from my grandma and grandpa, to make it playable again (worn-out springs).
