There were animal bikes at the Tour de Fat! Six-seater snake skeleton and bat bike, yay!

Also, two-person butterfly bikes. Pretty!

Having a good time in the bike pit
This bike had off-center wheels, so the rider goes up and down as they ride around in the bike pit. This also gives you a glimpse of my Tour de Fat costume. Someone also complimented me on the pennyfarthing necklace, which was given to me by LM. |

Homemade hummingbird feeder
Hopefully Emma will be able to sit in the window and watch hummingbirds, if this feeder actually attracts them. I adapted a chicken watering device by building a plastic cover for it, and then used a plant hanger that I'd learned how to make from an Instructables. After I finished this, I read that hummingbirds are more attracted to yellow flowers...so I may have to make a few more modifications. |

Hummingbird feeder close-up
Looks like a nice place to eat, eh, hummers? As I was casting about for what to do about (nontoxic, easy to clean) flowers, it occurred to me that I've got this great stash of reflective materials, AND a flower-shaped punch! Brilliant! |

Sprouts
The swiss chard is coming up, along with the lettuce and mustard greens. Apparently I didn't need to use as many seeds as I did. The catgrass (wheatgrass) is also starting to sprout, so my cat will hopefully be a bit more happy soon. |
