Aced the commute

On the other hand, I aced the commute into campus today. I have to cross over College Ave twice (it is the polar opposite of College Ave in Tempe, ironically), but other than that it's all on beautiful, quiet back roads that aren't too bumpy. The initial Google Maps suggestion sent me through a trailer park full of unmarked speed bumps. Google Maps bike there directions are well-intentioned, but I'm going to have to take a while to retrain it for this area, as I learn my way around.

By the way ... if you spend five minutes poking around on this not-a-blog</a, it may give you some of the flavor of the best of Texas, the part of it I do still miss. If Molly Ivins has to be dead, it's good to know that someone else is filling in.
