To Did/To Do

Did:
-Got Final Experiment Underway, with some minor hitches. I wanted to use a coffee blade grinder to grind up the polenta diets, but by the end of the day the blades were rather severely misshapen. I have ordered a corn grinder off of the internets; hopefully it will arrive before next Monday. I also need to get a larger pan for drying out the polenta into a thinner sheet, so it cracks up more easily. Hopefully, hopefully D and I can stay on top of data collection and processing for this experiment. Also hopefully the colonies want to grow. Things looked a bit static today.
-E-mailed two other people for research proposal 2; promptly heard back in the affirmative from one; waiting for some critical information from the other.
-Finished writing two documents for a workshop from January 20-22 ("Forward to Professorship") and turned them in
-Played Scrabble. It was good to see everyone again.
Do:
-Finish writing recommendation letter for D
-Finish drafts of research proposals 1 and 2, go over with J, revise them, also review other documents
-Send along materials to recommendation letter-writers
-E-mail one other guy for research proposal 1
-Work on Diss Chap 2 data analysis and manuscript-writing
-Get teaching assignment details for the spring
-Feed/water ants
-Teach D how to trace fungus areas
-Pick up and plant blackberry bushes I ordered
-Balance checkbook
-Make rowing plans for the spring
-Make pumpkin peanut soup (ask Mom for recipe?)
-Repair greenhouse, plant starter seeds, order more starter seeds
-Get ready to bike down to Tucson
It's late. Bedtime, then up promptly in the morning.
