It isn't you, it's me / The Things I Do

Here's a bit of a run-down of what I'm up to these days. It might help explain why I am quiet and don't make many appearances at things if they aren't vital:
This morning:
Went sculling with K to prepare for a regatta on the lake tomorrow. As we stashed our boat, the ASU men's head coach asked if one of us could jump in a boat for their practice. So I got in another 2 laps around the lake in a highly amusing boat (amusing to me because it was novice men who are extremely awkward rowers...fortunately, they appeared well-disciplined, which bodes well).
Then I dashed off to meet up with some folks who are visiting from out of town, and grabbed some breakfast at Essenza.
Then I dashed home, quickly bathed (bathing in TTL water while rowing doesn't count as getting clean), and ran to school to meet with an undergrad.
Then I met up with M to work on some financial arrangements in advance of the Tour de Fat tomorrow. Those only took an hour (instead of the two I'd anticipated, thank goodness), so I have a moment to enter some data into an Excel spreadsheet in advance of analysis.
Next, I'll head over to the weekly grad student brownbag, and from there, I'll teach for my friend L, who is defending her proposal today. After that, I might have a half an hour, and then I'll meet up with grad students who are planning a conference for next year. Then I'll head over to L's pass/fail party for a short while to try some People Chow, Vegetarian Style.
Then, sleep.
Saturday morning, I'll head over to the regatta headquarters at 6 am to help out and serve as the regatta announcer. I race at 11:40, and then I'll go to the Tour de Fat for the rest of the day (through cleanup).
Meanwhile, I've got a stack of student papers to grade for Monday, and I need to revise my lesson plan and assignment for Monday's labs.
And on top of that, there's always my proposal, and I have to get ready for a scientific meeting in Puerto Rico that's the weekend before the scientific meeting.
So.
I'll see you in November, unless (or also) I see you at the Tour de Fat tomorrow.
