Saturday:
Woke up, rode to farmer's market, rode home, dropped off food, met people for cupcake ride. Rode up to get cupcakes, ate delicious cupcakes (at Sprinkles), rode home. Added on the bike trailer, rode over to the grocery store, bought gobs of groceries (including a large vat of yogurt and a big ol jug of milk). Rode home. Rode over to a biking meeting, met, rode home.
I think that was about 45-50 miles, all told.
Then I made some paneer (so simple and fun!), and made some Cabbage-Potato Extravaganza and some Fresh Cheese and Mung Bean Croquettes. Oh, and I burned some rice. Badly.
I also made some frothy whey drink (left over from the cheese), and took some photos of it, which I will upload for
annikusrex's benefit sometime soon (and your benefit, too). It was delicious! Like a lassi but not quite as creamy. I don't think I'll ever buy paneer again--it's so much cheaper to make it myself, and it's way more fun. Plus, then there's leftover whey to play with.
Then I graded one lab report and went to bed.
Sunday:
Laundry, grading, grading, grading, grading, lunch, grading, grading, dinner, worked on bikes, gradingZZZZzzzzz.
Monday morning:
K called and we called off rowing, so I got some sleep (thank goodness) and then finished grading.
Just in time to teach, and collect up the next round of assignments! Fortunately, this round shouldn't require as much crazy grading. I hope. So maybe I can get some science done as well. Maybe.
