Theo Chocolates comes quite close to being heaven on Earth. I had a very hard time not buying everything in sight, and especially enjoyed tasting their different sorts of chocolate to figure out how they vary and what I like best. Alas, I couldn't afford any drinking chocolate this time. Perhaps next time, heh heh heh.

I have also finally made note of the statue of Lenin (he has a lovely glowing red star on his head, presumably for the holidays), and have been reminded that in addition to a weird place in Arizona, Fremont is also the center of the universe. In case you hadn't noticed.

Though it is probably more commercialized than it used to be, Fremont is still pretty freaking awesome and fun.

That's funny - I remember driving by the statue of Lenin when I was in Seattle for a firend's wedding a year or so ago (presuming it's the same one). I've got just enough memory of the Cold War and the USSR that seeing things like that always induces a doubletake.

Oh yeah, it's a pretty big statue and all. And Fremont's just the sort of neighborhood to house the first statue of Lenin in the US. I almost took a picture of it, but then wimped out because it would be touristy of me.

Theo chocolate is pretty darn good.
Three of the four top chocolatiers at the big-ass Fancy Food Show were won by Seattle firms.

Yay Seattle! I was quite impressed by their delicious assortments and bought a bunch of bars to bring back to Arizona with me. I plan to hoard them and cackle evilly. I'm regretting not having bought any drinking chocolate.

Are you free tomorrow?
There may be drinking chocolate in your future.

Ooo, drinking chocolate tomorrow sounds like a brilliant idea. Should I perhaps meet you at your house at some civilized time?

That sounds like a good idea.
There is a place I want to take you. (hopefully it will be open)
What time would be good for you?

How about early afternoon, say shortly after 1? I can come by your house at around that time if it's a good time for Senor Onion as well. I haven't seen him since he emerged over a year ago. :)

That might work. (the place closes at 2 but is no more than a mile or so away from my house)
Show up and you can meet Senor Onion.
