Better now.
Oct. 10th, 2007 09:36 pmI just finished reading Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. I had thought it would be the last food book I'd read for a while, but now it appears I'm going to have to read Gary Nabhan's book about eating locally in the Southwest (Coming Home to Eat).
Reading about food is comforting and inspiring--we all have to eat every day, and how we choose to eat impacts not just ourselves but the world around us. Inasmuch as it's useful to learn about the food system gone awry, it's also useful to read celebrations of food when it's cultivated with care.
