Today's energy-use hippie update

Today MSN has an article on ways to reduce summer cooling costs. This inspired me to go back to Michael Bluejay's website to look through the posted information on ways to cut cooling costs as well. Bluejay's perspective can be found here. I really appreciate how carefully he explains why people should do things a certain way. Read through, for example, his arguments about why to turn off central air conditioning when you leave the house.

I'm quite intrigued by the chillow, and am also inspired to look into replacing/cleaning my A/C's filter, pronto.

When I was little, before we got AC, I used to stick my pillow inside a garbage bag in the freezer every day...sounds like a chillow to me! (But I'll admit I didn't read it all.)
