Well, if all goes well, I'll have my refurbished laptop, complete with new hard drive and cooling system, back today. I've decided that hard drives all get their own names. So my previous hard drive was Sylvester, who is no longer with us. The one before that was Roger2. The new hard drive will be named Ruby. And my newly purchased external drive will be named George. (lesson learned about not backing up my hard drive)
I spent the weekend in San Diego, at the San Diego Crew Classic. It was fun and relaxing; I had no way of doing any work whatsoever, so I didn't try. Our race was challenging; we were up against teams whose average age was close to mine, while our team's average age was probably closer to 35. Conditions were also a bit rough and I don't think we rowed our best. But oh well. Life will go on, and I can finally go back to sculling instead of sweep rowing. It's about time.
And now, back to work.
