Oh, you were expecting an update?

Today was Needy Student Day, to be sure. There was nary a dull moment during office hours. Actually, I can't complain. The students were all grateful for the help, and help now means less work later on (hopefully). They're still struggling to grasp the basic steps of The Scientific Method because we haven't had many opportunities to practice it.
I baked cupcakes last night, but didn't feel like frosting them at the time, so I didn't. Then I had a dream about frosting them. My rowing partner K was there, chatting away, while I frosted in my dream. Next thing I knew, I looked down and 3 of the 6 cupcakes I had frosted had vanished without a trace--K ate them.
It's kind of weird when one dreams about such mundane matters. I frosted the cupcakes this afternoon, and none of them vanished mysteriously.
I ordered a new watch a few days ago on teh internets, and it arrived today. It had excessively fancy packaging--a clear box with the company logo on the cover. I want to figure out how to turn it into a silly little work of art because it's so ridiculous. The watch is stylish and pretty, and wee, which is nice because I have small wrists for some reason. I should probably take a picture of it for you to admire. It will be nice to be able to tell time easily again. My previous $20 Australia watch lasted about as long as one might expect a $20 Australian watch to last, which is to say, not very long.
And now it's time to play Scrabble and eat cupcakes.
