Things accomplished on Sunday:

-Baked and ate some of a Spinach-Gruyere Breakfast Casserole (paywalled NYT link). It was delicious. It's not a thing I would ever make on a regular basis, but rich and hearty and good.

-The usual litterboxes and vacuuming. I feel better after getting layers of crumbs (catnip, mostly) off of the cat tree. Maybe next Sunday I'll sweep the basement steps and wood platform.

-Organized boxes and things for mailing out gifts.

-Scrabble with my Zoom Scrabble friends. I lost but it was a close game and always good to catch up.

-Shopping trip by car, to the fancy pet store, hardware store, board game and comic shop, and grocery co-op. The fancy pet store didn't have the grass-based cat litter, and S is concerned about mice trying to eat the corn and jicama-based litter, so we're back to the walnut stuff again.

-Cooked up a pasta bake, so now there are 2 dinner foods for the week, plus a couple spare things that are ready to reheat and eat that could be put in the freezer.

Things not accomplished on Sunday;

Well, I at least got a subset of photos organized for our annual holiday greetings. But I lacked the energy to actually arrange the photos nicely and put them together with some words, for the sake of getting the greetings printed and put into the boxes. I also need to rummage through the envelope collection to see if I have enough envelopes, too. Maybe I'll find energy for that later today.

And I should write thank-you notes, too.

But in the meantime, I want to use most of today to keep working on a cricket manuscript. Still not a particularly photogenic activity. It's a stay-at-home day because this is the one day a year they change out my building's filters, so they have the air handling system offline and we're prohibited from being in the building when there isn't adequate airflow.

Edited to add... I forgot that I wanted to also note that I dug out the Dark Dahlia's tubers yesterday. We're having a brief warm spell, so this was my one chance to see if there's any hope for the Dark Dahlia. The answer is, maybe. We'll see.
