Boatbuilding Day 2 [projects, rowing]
Sep. 17th, 2024 08:25 pm1. We flipped the boats over, tightened all the copper stitches, and in the process, made sure the planks were more-or-less properly aligned.


2. Then we applied the first fillets to the exterior:

Epoxy station:

To me, one of the benefits of taking a class is access to better supplies and tools, like this epoxy station with a single pump dispensing resin and hardener in the correct ratio. Also, the oscillating sanders directly attached to vacuum units are just wonderful.

If I understand correctly, tomorrow we will flip the boats again and work on taking out the copper stitches. I'll know more once the day is done, heh.
