Bullet points [status]
Jan. 5th, 2023 01:04 pmWhen I go and listen to talks, I think, "I should be working on manuscripts."
I went to a talk this morning, and bumped into a coauthor on one of those manuscripts. He agreed, so now we'll meet at 5 and work on a manuscript that's nearly ready to submit. We will nudge it along and get it submitted!
I was feeling guilty about that one, but then I opened the email chain and saw that our most recent correspondence about it was at the very end of August. I've had it on my mind all fall, but there were a thousand moments of hectic things all fall long, as I am sure you well remember.
The moonset and sunrise this morning over Lady Bird Lake were utterly beautiful. The rowing was pretty good, too. I have zero regrets about fitting in these guest rows.
I did manage to upload a bunch of trip pictures to Flickr this morning; IDK if/when I will turn them into posts. There are some themes emerging:
-Breakfast tacos of Austin; 4/4 meals so far Mexican-themed
-Rowing + views from our hotel room window
-Skiing in MN
-Floof cat Gabe of MN
-Out and about in MN
I'm getting excited to go home and work on writing out various to-do lists, which is sort of funny. The window of opportunity ahead of the spring semester is rapidly closing...
