I didn't buy the car
Jul. 29th, 2021 03:46 pmInstead, I sent it onward to Washington with my mother.
A week or so ago, a friend posted about selling their Subaru in Montana, for just a bit more than I expected my uncle would ask for the Honda.
And when it gets down to it, a rowing shell will fit much better on top of a Subaru than a Honda.
I probably won't buy the Subaru, either.
But it has been useful to discover what sorts of cars I might be willing to buy, should I change my mind again and shop more seriously.
And the Accord has allowed me to learn a thing or two about cars, and car maintenance, so there's that.
Discussions about buying the Honda got
scrottie to talk about prospects for upgrading Princess TinyHouse's engine. When it gets down to it, Princess TinyHouse is an ideal regattamobile: boat transport + accommodations, all in one! The things that would need to happen are:
-I need to learn how to drive her (still) - I am rusty on stick shift and I don't fully understand her peculiarities yet
-We need to have something of a regatta plan
-Continued refurb work would need to include building some sort of roof rack that could transport a rowing shell
But I do have a Brompton that will be on its way to me fairly soon.
I am looking forward to not having to drive soon.
