Soggy intervals and BLAD-B
Mar. 21st, 2017 09:10 amWe're experiencing another rainstorm this week. Neither
scrottie nor I seemed to sleep very well last night, so when the alarm went off at 5 I reluctantly got up.
I am running the two painful back-to-back circadian timepoints tonight and tomorrow morning because of some issues I'd forgotten about with those data. After that, I'll be finished with Gryllus firmus. But that and the rain both made it challenging to get out of bed this morning.
I packed four meals this time: breakfast, lunch, dinner, and breakfast again.
It was raining very lightly when I left the house, but midway through the ride to the boathouse I was glad I'd taken an extra minute to apply rain covers to my panniers because the rain picked up. Conditions were gross enough and I was late enough behind the Serious Double's practice start time that I decided to cut my losses and do my workout on the erg. Twelve intervals of 90 seconds on, 30 seconds off at 26 spm. Hard work.
My Arkel pannier is no longer keeping my backpack dry. I need to continue reading about waterproofing techniques, and look into the various different durable water repellent options (price, ease of application, etc). So much stuff management.
