I feel like I'm arriving at a state of done-ness with respect to Facebook. It's a cacophony of one-liners, and I'm returning to one of those states where I'm content to just keep up with a select group of people instead. Even when I'm away from the internets for a week or two, I still feel like I can catch up on Livejournal. Not so on the other social networking site.
I brought a five-pound box of satsumas back from Minneapolis. I have only eaten five today. So far. The Japanese student who sits in the cubicle next to me was surprised to learn that they are available in parts of the US. He had given up looking for them. I'm a little suspicious about things, considering that the box of satsumas came from California. Do they just figure that Arizona already has enough citrus? Why do they bother shipping those silly Cuties (=gross Clementines) all the way over from Florida? The clementine-growers must be forceful lobbyists or something.
I was kind of anxious when I woke up this morning because there is always too much to do on Mondays. I'm only in town until a week from Friday before I ship off to Seattle for almost three weeks. Yikes. I hope things in Seattle proceed at a more leisurely pace than Minneapolis - while MN was fun, it was also accomplished at a sprinting pace.
