Oh, Seattle...

I fly in next Wednesday evening, for an extremely quick trip--we depart Saturday morning for Portland, by bicycle. I'll be drawing up a list of priorities for while I'm there, as soon as I have a few more minutes.

This morning, on KEXP, there was a brief mention of the things that Cupcake Royale has been up to (among them, a new shop opening up on Cap Hill shortly after our visit). Apparently they are introducing a new cupcake called Strawberry 66, made with 66% Washington-grown ingredients. Way to up the uppity-up factor, Seattle. I suppose competition in the cupcake business is pretty tough up there, so places have to keep on innovating.

Signs that I'm completely losing it...

Last night, as I crawled into bed, one of my last thoughts was, "I-N," or "Inactive in the Nest." That is how I denote ants that are sitting inside of the nest container, immobile.

It's not good to be codifying one's own behavior with the same system.

Halfway through the day today. I can't wait to be finished, but at the same time, it's a struggle to get through every round of observations.
