So yesterday it was determined that I will be rowing in the San Diego Crew Classic again this year. Overall, this will be a good thing--a chance to train in a bigger boat with a fun bunch of gals. We had a good time last year. But on the other hand, it also means going back to negotiating team dynamics with a sizeable group of people--10 to be precise. The e-mails have been flying back and forth like mad, and there have been all sorts of phone calls and negotiations. It just makes me grateful that most of the time I don't have to deal with this sort of crap. At least in this case I don't have to take the reins all of the time. I don't mind driving; it's just that it's hard to drive everything all at once. Oh, it also means more of my free time devoted to non-boy-chasing activities. Too bad.
Thanks to the time I spent in Australia, though, I'm pretty out of shape. I've lost a lot of muscle mass and my rowing skills could use a lot of brushing up. I see lots of time at the gym in my future.
Ha.
