1. Tuesday lab crayfish! So fun.

It's kind of rare for the crayfish to team up in the flowerpots, because they often rip each other to pieces.

I didn't get a photo, but this year we had a female with eggs! I'm hoping I can manage to keep her and her eggs alive, although I must admit I'm not sure of what to feed her for the long term.

2. I somehow managed to summon the energy to get the last coat of paint on these oars last night:

I feel somewhat silly photographing these, because soon enough all of the oar painting photos are going to look like all the previous oar painting photos.
3. How cat diplomacy works in this house:

Both cats want to snuggle with me at night right now, but they do not want to snuggle with each other. Or, rather, Martha will hiss at George if he tries to snuggle with her when she's trying to snuggle with me. They're usually okay if I'm in between them, but in the mornings Martha will often go over to George and at first pretend to be affectionate, before initiating a round of wrestling. In the evenings it's usually George who starts the wrestling matches.
4. We have a couple of coaches who are currently down for the count, including one who got rear-ended by some idiot driving 80 mph on the interstate. So I'm doing more coaching than I'd like, but I have to figure that's better than none of us getting any rowing time.

The water was beautiful, if cold, and it was nice to be out for water time, even if that meant operating a combustion engine.

5. The campus double-blossom cherry trees are about to go, POOF!

The ones near my house are basically done with flowers, moving onto leaves and photosynthesis and whatnot.
