Knitting progress [projects]

To no one's surprise, it was a busy weekend. I am most pleased that today, I was able to finish re-seaming the Angwin Cardigan.

I can finally try it on!





I still need to knit the (wide) collar and the pockets, but those are projects I can tackle on an airplane or while traveling. I really wanted to get the seams finished while I could sit at a table. Success!

And now, a week of final exams and grading, grading, grading.

Good note! I was very careful to check sizing when I started, just given how much of a time investment a full sweater is.

A friend of my BFF designed the pattern - maybe Donegal inspired? I do love how warm cabling is for the wintertime.

Thank you! I have to say, though, that much of the look is just a tribute to the yarn - Woolfolk Tov. Not cheap, but so beautifully and crisply spun. annikusrex gave me the pattern and the yarn as a birthday gift ages ago - when I looked at the pattern I told her I'd have to go for the indicated yarn. No regrets there.

But I also have to say, I'm also a little excited about the idea of getting to start a new project once this one is finished. I have some fun yarns in the stash. I think that's the momentum that's going to carry me through on this cardigan!
