...by this time of the week every week for the spring semester, my brain will be a complete vegetable.
My Mondays through Wednesdays at 2 pm basically have me running at a sprint. I've basically been forced by scheduling constraints into lab prep on Monday afternoons, for the labs that run from 8:30 am - 5:50 pm on Tuesdays. This past Monday it wasn't until I got underway with lab prep that I discovered my tank of nitrogen gas was empty. #@$*$^%&@#%
I needed N2 for multiple key elements of lab: deoxygenating water, and for flowing in front of reptiles' faces, in particular.
I miraculously encountered a colleague at the final hour who was able to save the day, but still.
And then the reptiles were extra squirmy during the afternoon lab, leading to all kinds of chaos.
I hope I can muster the mental energy to finish an overdue manuscript review this afternoon.
Wish me mental fortitude.
