Last night, instead of, you know, sleeping, my brain decided it really wanted to work on figuring out what to do with all of the leafcutter ant colonies I collected this past summer. By now, they are too big to do one of the experiments I really want to do, so I'm just kind of aimlessly growing them. They are also getting to be too big for their current containers, so I need to do something about that soon.

But my brain actually came up with some ideas! Thanks, brain.

...that's at least better than a recent dream I had: I had a dream of being in a board meeting and trying to get things done while getting interrupted by too much loud noise. Dreaming about board meetings is NOT fun!

Last night I had very unhelpful and unfun dreams about karate. One was a Special Training dream--those are not uncommon but seeing as the most optimistic projection doesn't have another training happening until next summer, it was uncalled for. It mostly involved realizing it was starting in two hours and I hadn't even packed yet.

The other was trying to teach a large and very uncooperative class of new karate students in a room completely unsuited for the task, and having a very senior person watch and disapprove of my teaching abilities. Ugh.
