2020 gifts

I wanted to wait before posting about gift-making for 2020 until hopefully most, if not all, items made it to the intended recipients. I think we might be just about there by now, finally.
We didn't get our acts together this past summer for the purpose of making homemade preserves, since S spent the summer in California working to plug BoatyBoat's leaks and I spent the pandemic summer trying to brace myself for the emergency-remote-hybrid-in-person-zoom fall semester.
Also, at a certain point it became increasingly difficult to track down canning jars.
So instead we threw our hands in the air somewhat and made a giant batch of homemade Irish Cream.

This half-gallon isn't all of it. Tasty stuff, but it's also probably best to not have large quantities of it on hand.

I was also pretty pleased with how our holiday cards turned out. The photo is a scan of a Polaroid picture that we sent off to
threemeninaboat and
randomdreams. Enhanced, of course, with glitter glue.

Envelope pile before everything got put in the mail:

A simple year. Probably for the best.
