Hypothesis testing [Emma update]
Aug. 27th, 2020 01:54 pmA friend drove us out to the 17-mile vet, the closest veterinarian that's accepting patients. The vet was kind enough to come outside and chat in person. She'd gotten the records from the emergency vet and said she had a hypothesis, that Emma's troubles could stem from thyroid issues.
Just got off the phone with the vet right now, and the bloodwork indicates that yes, she's very much hyperthyroid.
Apparently it's possible to get medication for her from a regular pharmacy, so I don't have to go all the way back out to Nassau.
Time for some hypothesis-testing, stat. I hope this hypothesis is supported, as it could make a huge difference for Emma's quality of life.
