Strawberries, rowing
Jun. 18th, 2020 09:42 amThere were locally-grown strawberries for sale at the co-op on Tuesday.

It now feels like summer, for real.
It makes me so happy that I can buy locally-grown strawberries at the co-op. The price was pretty good, too.
I think I am going to make some strawberry-rhubarb mini-pies soon. When I have some free time. Ha.
I had one blister rip open while rowing this morning.

That's not too bad, all things considered. I just hope I don't make it any worse tomorrow.
The cat decided to wake me up at 12:30 am to share some opinions, and then I had the insomnomnomnia at 2:30 am. I suppose that at least if I start breaking down and crying later in the day, the cat will be my only witness?

Date: 2020-06-18 08:17 pm (UTC)We are swimming in strawberries here in the quaint and scenic Hudson Valley! In fact, I may go strawberry picking at one of those "we grow 'em; you pick 'em" places next week, just so I can take photographs of the plants. Bake a couple of pies and give the rest to the foodbank.

Date: 2020-06-18 08:22 pm (UTC)I think there's one place down there that has u-pick sour cherries. That's what I really WANT because for some reason I can't seem to find giant bags of frozen sour cherries in grocery stores around here (easy to find in Washington, harumph).
We, too, have a ton of the u-pick strawberry places out here. I might just go.
