Early Riser Rewards
Jun. 12th, 2020 01:05 pmThis morning I got up 20 minutes earlier than I've been getting up so I could get in a full paddle and then get home in time for an 8 am phone meeting.
My reward was a beautiful sunrise over the river.
I can't complain.


Apparently, the space where our "regular" docks usually sit got rather silted in after the floods that resulted from Hurricane Sandy. Here's some of the the silt deposit at low tide.

The heron flew away right after I took this photo:

I kind of like how mundane this last picture looks after the dramatic sunrise photos.

Assuming enough people register, summer rowing will start up on Monday, which will most likely bring an end to my morning photos, unless I decide to rebel and kayak on Wednesday mornings.
