Desk in situ & Hello again, Hudson

The new desk, installed in the home office/guest bedroom:



I am looking forward to sending this giant work computer away. I mean, it has a lot of nice features, but it sure takes up a lot of space, and I'd prefer to have my desk space be more flexible/versatile.

Still - what a game-changer, to have more than 6 inches of space in front of it for the keyboard/etc. The texture of the surface and front edge are also much more comfortable, and I nailed it with the footrest.

Emma's preferred places to curl up in this room are in exactly the two places where I sit to work. At least there are two places, I guess.

The Hudson River this morning was stunningly beautiful. The photos don't fully capture it. The only other person I saw while out was a fisherman who seems to be a regular in the mornings on a dock on the Rensselaer shore.

I was planning on taking just one photo but then I just couldn't help myself.







Not one, but TWO osprey in the snag this morning!! (look closely to the right)
