I sort of feel like I spent much of yesterday just waiting for my body to decide it was exhausted from all of the festivities on Saturday. I woke up at 7:30ish and spent much of the day recovering in various ways from the party--cleaning up the sticky spill on my floor, taking out the trash, etc. At some point, T and L and I watched Space Balls (so apropos). At some other point, I made feta and artichoke dip. At a point past all that, T and I made a delicious raspberry torte with a recipe out of the chocolate cookbook that I just got. We also watched Buffalo 66. I love that movie. It's so deranged and ridiculous, just like me, with a nice, layered plot. The best scene is one where Billy Brown and whatsherface are in the photo booth and he keeps telling her they have to look like they "span time together." But oh, there are so many good scenes. K and D came over and we were going to eat, but then at about 7:50 I couldn't keep my eyes open so I took the shortest possible trajectory straight to bed. Whew.
I didn't feel spectacular this morning, and it was raining (I'm such a wimp) and I still needed to finish prepping for teaching, so I skipped crew and went to school early. Today is one of those days where I'm just not getting a whole lot done. But that's okay. I'm still coasting after the end of last week.
Ahh. What a fun weekend.
