My first-ever e-mail address came from the Seattle Community Network. I still miss PINE, but in general ever since then I have been totally lazywebs about Large Corporation "free" webmails.

wow, what a blast from the past!! apparently MPS no longer exists at Tufts, alas. It was a product of the times, and the times have passed!

good times they were though, in their own way.

Yeah, I think from what I understand a lot of the same demographic also liked the Simpsons club, so people prioritized that instead of MPS and MPS died several years after we all graduated. I'm still totally surprised and amused that the website I made is still up. I mean, it's probably tiny in terms of storage, but then I have to wonder if there's someone at Tufts who still really appreciates it and keeps it alive whenever there are server migrations.
