Thinkspace

I am finding myself craving thinkspace, lately. Most likely this is a byproduct of the stage I am in with work, but it could also be linked to constantly being around people. In grad school, the best such place was Lux Coffee, which I would visit on many Saturdays after going to the Downtown Phoenix Farmer's Market. During periods where I couldn't afford a latte and pastry, I'd go over to Burton Barr Public Library instead.
The best place to slouch in Texas was Carney's, although the Village Cafe was all right, too. In college, there was the Someday Cafe, and there are a couple of good places in Seattle. Meadowlark in Lincoln was good, or Cultiva, but really, my personal life was so quiet there that just sitting at home was sufficient. I was also so caught up in physically doing experiments that I didn't feel that sense of drag that often accompanies thinking work.
I haven't quite arranged my desk at home correctly for this, either, and it's currently serving as a repository for "to do" items, which tends to run counter to the ability to reflect.
