Even in Kyoto

It was really interesting and somewhat aggravating to read a list of several hundred peoples' names in the Acknowledgements. That made it hard to distinguish substantive contributions from individuals who ran off some extra photocopies at some point. But as annikusrex pointed out, many of these elements are probably due to the fact that the author was not trained as an academic but as a lawyer. Writing standards for the two fields are vastly different.

If I could get myself to care enough about personality psychology, I'd be tempted to write a better book on the subject. I just haven't found it to be a sufficiently appealing topic. *runs away to be ant-i-social*
