It was really interesting and somewhat aggravating to read a list of several hundred peoples' names in the Acknowledgements. That made it hard to distinguish substantive contributions from individuals who ran off some extra photocopies at some point. But as [livejournal.com profile] annikusrex pointed out, many of these elements are probably due to the fact that the author was not trained as an academic but as a lawyer. Writing standards for the two fields are vastly different.

If I could get myself to care enough about personality psychology, I'd be tempted to write a better book on the subject. I just haven't found it to be a sufficiently appealing topic. *runs away to be ant-i-social*
