Writing Report, and Gardening Report

rebeccmeisterSo far, today: two paragraphs, two figures (but note that one has 10 subcomponents to it). Remaining to go: three more introductory paragraphs, a Methods section, and an e-mail to my advisor.
The strawberry plant is STILL making strawberries! I am astounded.
I went out yesterday to see what the cucumber plants are up to. I discovered a cucumber as thick as my wrist. One end was bitter, and the skin was thick, but most of it was delicious.
The peas are flowering and making some tiny peas.
The zucchini hasn't had any more successful pollinations. It keeps trying, though. Lesson learned: buy two.
There are tons of wee eggplants on the eggplant plants.
A lovely small, red wildflower is blooming again. So is the nasturtium.
I harvested a whole bunch of mint off of the chocolate-peppermint plant, but it's hard to even tell that I did.
Some strange bugs have been hanging out on the butternut squash. It's hard to tell what they are up to.
We are fortunate that the weather is still this cool, this time of year.

Time to head home, to eat some food and then write some more.
